Well, it’s not all doom and gloom in the Boston real estate market. A new report today shows that the Boston luxury condo market is on fire. Boston’s luxury housing market is making a huge comeback.
A few excerpts from todays Boston Herald:
Sales of Boston condominiums priced $500,000 and above jumped 22 percent to 852 units for the first nine months of the year compared with the same period last year, according to the MLS Property Information Network. The median price rose 4 percent to $715,000.
For properties at the top of the market — $1 million and above — sales skyrocketed 56.5 percent to 252 condos, up from just 161 units from the same period in 2009.
