From the Boston Herald:
Julio Lugo has finally scored a big Boston “home” run.
Lugo, a former Red Sox [team stats] shortstop traded in July to St. Louis after 2 disappointing seasons in the Hub, has sold his Brookline home for $4 million.
That’s $575,000 more than the slugger paid in 2007, and the home needed just 28 days to attract a buyer. Lugo also came close to the $4.8 million list price he put on the property – a real achievement in today’s tough market.
File Under: Sorry Manny.
