The Herald profiles the new FP3 condo project, currently under construction in Boston’s Fort Point Channel neighborhood.
Boston’s Berkeley Investments is positioning its new FP3 condo complex as a hip destination spot in South Boston’s emerging Fort Point/Seaport District.
When the development opens in the next few months, it will feature 97 high-end condos, plus three new restaurants operated by Boston uber-chef Barbara Lynch.
FP3 is just the latest addition to the Fort Point/Seaport area, whose backers hope new shops and restaurants along Congress Street make the neighborhood an alternative to the chic South End.
I have only been in the sales office, so I can’t say anything good or bad about the project. I like the location, a lot, but I’m not somebody who needs to be in the middle of an established neighborhood, to be happy.
I do think it’s fair to wonder about a neighborhood where the best they can say is, “a restaurant is coming in, soon.” (Over, and over, and OVER again.)
