Here’s why you can’t exclusively blame the dismal February numbers on the weather in Massachusetts: Home prices are falling everywhere else.

There’s no doubt weather had an impact here. But it can’t be the full cause of the downward trend. Last time we checked, every inch of the U.S. wasn’t hammered by snow this past winter.

P.S.  — The Warren Group’s Tim Warren makes a good point: Year-to-year comparisons moving forward are going to look bad because last year’s numbers were bolstered by the federal tax credit.
