According to the Globe, another condo development has decided to go the auction route.

Developers of the Skyline Condominiums at Station Landing, the 127-unit development along the Mystic River in Medford, will auction off unsold condominiums in the project on November 11 …

… Thirty units will be auctioned, with minimum prices set at about two-thirds of the original list price. Bids will start at $535,000, for example, for a 12th floor penthouse, and at $275,000 for a one-bedroom on a middling floor.

Station Landing is a lot more than just this condo complex.

Station Landing is a vibrant new riverfront community minutes from Boston in Medford. This exciting destination, with a boulevard of shops, restaurants, neighborhood retail conveniences, is located directly adjacent to the Wellington T station and in close proximity to Route 3 and Logan Airport. Residents will enjoy an easy commute and quick easy access to all of Boston’s finest amenities.

A new 12 story luxury condominium building with 126 units, Skyline at Station Landing, will have unmatched views of the Boston skyline and the Mystic River. Homes will feature state of the art kitchens, luxurious bathrooms and quality appointments. The building will offer services rivaling any downtown Boston condominium and will include a fitness facility, community great room, furnished roof decks and secured parking. All this and only steps away from the adjacent riverfront park with walking and running paths and boating at the nearby Yacht Club.

What will happen to the rest of the project (some already completed and considered a success …) is unknown.
