Boston Condos
Rumor has it that the developer of the new SoHa Lofts condo project, on Albany Street, in the South End, has suspended marketing of the property, until January, 2007.
This rumor has not been substantiated (ergo, it’s a “rumor”).
My guess would be, it’s not a matter of a slower real estate market, but simply a matter of how quickly (or slowly) the project is coming together. I mean, who would want to start marketing a project in January, if they didn’t have to?
This is the second high-profile project to be suspended, in the South End, during the past several months. YooD4 has taken its units off the market. Presumably, the units will come back on, in the fall, perhaps with lower prices.
Gibson Domain Domain was the sales team behind both projects.
