Try to make sense of these latest bi-polar Massachusetts forclosure numbers:
Foreclosures were up 30 percent in October compared to September, but down 8.5 percent compared to a year ago.
Foreclosure filings were down 9 percent in October compared to September, but are up 11 percent compared to a year ago.
So you can be encouraged about the actual foreclosure picture, but bummed about the future foreclosure picture — or is it the other way around?
