The Boston Globe reported that the number of parking permits assigned to Beacon Hill residents climbed 19 percent over the past two years, but is still below the level of residential permits from four years ago, according to city records.
The number of parking permits assigned to Back Bay residents has declined 22 percent over the past two years, the city says. The drop followed a 13 percent increase in permits between 2006-2008, according to new city parking data.
