As home prices fall, cut-rate online brokers ZipRealty and Redfin have been forced to experiment with different strategies. Zip has reduced how much it returns to customers, from 1% to about 0.6% on average. In addition, Zip recently stopped paying any rebates on houses selling for less than $100,000.00 (basically for they buyers that need the rebate the most).
