One day a Seaport condo broker lost his faith. I’m not sure when or where he lost it, but he looked everywhere for it and could not find it.
Walking in NYC after searching uselessly for it, he encountered a child of four or so. She was standing outside a Grand Central Station, next to her mother who was sleeping in a rough cardboard shelter. The little girl smiled at the Seaport condo broker and said in her sweet voice, “God loves you. He loves everybody.”
The Seaport condo broker was taken aback by her faith, stopped and put a worn twenty in her tiny, cold hand, and she slipped him the missing faith back into his soul.
