And what could that be? The U.S. unemployment rate fell last month. It’s that simple. Forget about all the fancy government housing programs — from tax credits to foreclosure-rescue plans. Nothing is going to fundamentally change until Americans have more money in their pockets. More than 200,000 people got jobs last month — and that means more than 200,000 people with extra cash in their pockets. It’s obviously not enough. It’s not near enough. But it’s a start — and it’s not an April Fool’s joke.
