The number of condos for sale on Feb 26, 2010 – 1,826.
So far, no signs of “shawdow inventory” flooding the market.

Well, that all depends on the price range.
$300,000 – and under: 148 sold. 106 days on the market.
$301,000 – $600,000: 144 sold. 115 days on the market.
$601,000 – $900,000: 31 sold. 132 days on the market.
$901,000 – $1.400,000: 21 sold. 116 days on the market.
$1,401,000 – $2M: 11 sold. 92 days on the market.

The mortgage-delinquency rate may be easing across the country, but not in Massachusetts. It’s once again at a record high.
What gives? Isn’t the Massachusetts housing market supposed to be in better shape than the rest of the nation? There might be an explanation:

It’s not like I would ever say that free money isn’t worth it, especially when it’s a tax credit of up to $8,000. But I still doubt that first-time homebuyers who got their chunk of the housing kick-start are jumping for joy that they won’t be able to e-file come April.

According to LINK, the number of parking spaces that sold in downtown Boston during 2009 was 65, down from a 2008 volume of 97. Average sales price fell slightly to approximately $94,000, and median sales price rose slightly to $67,000.
