By exerting enormous pressure on real estate agents, the Zillow Ban is designed to prevent agents from offering their clients alternative marketing options other than Zillow, and by doing so, the ban robs home sellers of the disinterested advice of their fiduciary real estate agent. They enforce this ban based on one specific data point: the home address.

Agents have consistently asked: “Since Zillow bans based on the address, can we not disclose the address?”

We listened to your feedback and have officially launched Address Upon Request (a feature that almost every MLS also provides). This feature allows you to market a listing publicly while not disclosing the address. It encourages buyers and agents to call you for details, driving real conversations and helping you engage directly with potential buyers and agents.

Sellers should have the right to publicly market their properties without the risk of days on market and price drop history – this tool makes it possible without being banned by Zillow.
