Chinese Capital buying up Boston real estate
Why Chinese money is buying up Boston real estate.
I noticed in the last year or so that it seems when there is Boston building for sale there’s a good chance that a Chinese investor will be in the running to purchase the building. Why is this? I did some research and here are my findings:
1.There’s too much competition in China for real estate development projects so investors are looking to areas like NYC, San Francisco and Boston to park their capital.
2.Chinese government use to have a stronghold on real estate developers putting capital into America, recently they have loosen up the regulations and as result Chinese real estate investments increased from $600 million in 2009 to $12 billion in 2014.
3.U.S. extended visas to Chinese’s business men which have encouraged capital to be placed in the Boston real estate market.
