Back Bay restaurants and stores — as well as other downtown shops and businesses — are really hurting in the wake of last week’s Boston Marathon attack and wild week-long manhunt that culminated in the virtual shutdown of the city’s economy on Friday.
So please go out of your way to visit Boston — and the Back Bay in particular — when you can in coming days, weeks, and months. Every penny spent will help. The business owners, waiters, waitresses, cashiers, sales representatives, cooks, stores managers, bartenders, etc. are all really good people. They’ll need our help. So let’s help, starting this week and into the foreseeable future.
File under: Cheers, Boston!
Update: This isn’t good. They expect Copley Square to be closed for a few more days. But that’s all the more reason to visit when it’s finally open again.
